Ron Paul Calls on United Nations to Confiscate Domain Names of His Supporters

Posted on: February 9, 2013

Earlier today, Ron Paul filed an international UDRP complaint against RonPaul.com and RonPaul.org with WIPO, a global governing body that is an agency of the United Nations. The complaint calls on the agency to expropriate the two domain names from his supporters without compensation and hand them over to Ron Paul.

Below is a copy of Ron Paul’s complaint and our original offer to Ron Paul, which was made at the prompting of dozens of fellow supporters after Ron Paul’s comments on the Alex Jones show, where he expressed regret over not owning RonPaul.com.

Incredibly, Ron Paul is trying to use our FREE offer of RonPaul.org against us to try to demonstrate “bad faith” on our part! (Read our full offer below.)

We have 20 days to prepare a response and we are tentatively looking for a lawyer to represent us in this case.

Hopefully it won’t have to come to that!

What in the world is going on? Ron Paul, the grassroots candidate, who was at the right place at the right time to lead the rEVOLution, attacks his own grassroots supporters through an agency of the United Nations?

Back in 2007 we put our lives on hold for you, Ron, and we invested 5 years (close to 10,000 hours) of tears, sweat and hard work into this site at great personal sacrifice. We helped raise millions of dollars for you, we spread your message of liberty as far and wide as we possibly could, and we went out of our way to defend you against the unjustified attacks by your opponents. Now that your campaigns are over and you no longer need us, you want to take it all away?

That’s not cool! We want our old pre-retirement Ron Paul back!

Ron paul? really? that doesn’t seem like him, could this be fabricated? or someone using his name? or was all of his talk just a diversion from something else? me scratching my head.

Roberta: Ron is a wonderful mind for Liberty and I continue to respect him, but he has received lots of bad advice over the years. Chalk this up to bad advice. The owner of http://www.ronpaul.org has offered it for free, but Ron’s advisors want http://www.ronpaul.com which has been an activist site since 2000. If Ron wanted it, he could have worked something out over the last 13 years. We’ve been avid Paulians for many years, but Ron is just wrong on this issue. He may win this battle, but will lose the Libertarian war. Thanks for your comments!

why does he want the domain name anyway, what is up with that?I dont even understand what a domain name is.
